To monitor the high temperatures in your sauna a thermometer is a necessity. A thermometer that is combined with a hygrometer will tell you the humidity level inside the sauna. You can then adjust the humidity by throwing water on the sauna stones to create steam.

2. Sauna Bucket and Ladle

One of the most essential tools for the sauna is a bucket and ladle. Wooden buckets and ladles tolerate the heat better than metal buckets and also look nice. Use it to throw water over sauna rocks above the sauna heater to create steam. 

While cedar wood will be the most durable, white pine also look nice and will do an effective job for your sauna.
